Abstract
The engineer can use a variety of AI technologies to assist in problem-solving. The elements of the AI that support the application, the system that the engineer wants the AI component to complete, and the resources available for the tool's purchase all play a role in determining what an engineer needs in terms of AI tools. The authors examine current industry developments while providing a thorough review of AI technologies.
