The influence of self-similar traffic on network latency
Abstract
The influence of self-similar traffic on the latency of a single queue system is initially investigated using observed traffic and models as input processes. Then, in a network routing design, a model-driven simulation-based technique for computing mean line latency is provided. To generate self-similar sample routes, the hybrid-FGN and FARIMA algorithms were applied. The comparison findings with real-traffic data sets demonstrate the applicability of our model-driven simulation-based strategy. We suggested a viable database strategy that assists network designers in determining parameters. This method is anticipated to be useful in network design and analysis.
