Novel Strategies to Speed-Up Query Response
Abstract
Intuitive but completely novel strategies for reducing query response time have been proposed, assuming a database is designed in third or higher normal form to avoid obvious design pitfalls. The Cartesian product has been replaced in query construction by a novel substitution approach, which reduces query execution time and space by orders of magnitudes when compared to traditional approaches, among other advantages.
