Abstract

This research paper delves into the evolving landscape of urban health solutions, shifting the focus beyond mere data collection to explore the imperative of human-centric design in the context of Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled urban health systems. The study investigates how design principles rooted in human experience and inclusivity can shape the development and implementation of IoT technologies for urban health. Through an interdisciplinary lens encompassing design thinking, healthcare, and urban planning, the paper examines the potential of a human-centric approach to foster accessibility, usability, and acceptance of IoT-driven health solutions within urban environments. Key considerations include user engagement, cultural sensitivity, and the co-creation of solutions with the communities they serve. The findings contribute valuable insights to guide future developments in urban health technologies, emphasizing the pivotal role of human-centered design principles.
