Renewable energy import and export using a hybrid microgrid and IoT

Abstract

Microgrids powered by solar energy now have new opportunities to be managed and accessible by Internet of Things (IoT) technology thanks to the creation of hybrid smart grids. Additionally, it opens up new commercial opportunities for the export and import of generated and accumulated solar PV. Micro grid systems can execute data logging over the cloud and offer grid remote control thanks to integration with IoT. The method for improving hybrid power grid systems in homes and connecting them to a larger grid that connects many other households is described in this study. Using a web interface, the node owners can buy or sell the power that has been generated or stored at home.
