The blockchain's influence on the supply chain
Abstract
This paper seeks to fill a research gap concerning the potential implications of blockchain for supply chain management (SCM) by presenting a framework based on four established economic theories, namely, principal agent theory (PAT), transaction cost analysis (TCA), resource-based view (RBV), and network theory (NT). These ideas can be utilised to generate research topics that are both theory-based and industry-relevant. This study aims to start and promote an academic dialogue about the possible influence of blockchain technology by introducing a framework for middle-range theorizing as well as some research objectives.
